"Steve Mcqueen, the Great Escape" - postcard

The greatest motocycle ride of the cinema history. Steve McQueen was not only a great actor. He was also a talented motorcycle desert racer. In the movie, "the Great Escape", he could jump over the barbed wires on hi own. This scene was Steve McQueen's idea by the way. But the film producers fordid him to do the stunt. A funny detail : at some occasions, the motorcycle pursuit was filmed by McQueen himself, chasing his stand-in ! (an American motocross champion). So he was chasing and filming himself !
