"Cap juby" was the second stop between Casablanca and Dakar in a barren country of "Rio del Oro". This Spannish fort situated on the west coast of Africa was continuously blown by the easterlu winds. The sand invaded everywere and the living conditions were awful. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry headed Cap juby for a while. Sometimes he had to use his diplomate skills to rescue captured pilots from the moorish tribes. He wrote a book named "Courrier Sud" that told his expérience in "Cap Juby".
