The title of the painting refers to a famous quote attributed to Jackie Stewart or Jack Brabham. The painting illustrates this quote using typical sixties colours. I chose Bruce McLaren’s first Formula 1 car in its striking orange livery, which is echoed by the color of the miniskirt. The setting is the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix. That was the year with the fewest cars to finish the race : Only 5 cars made it to the finish line ! As a fun fact, (as is often the case) I’ve depicted myself pushing the car alongside two of my friends dressed as Mechanics. Print size: 70 x 50 cm. 150 signed and numbered copies.
